The announcement of the autumn winter FitFlop boots collection has come not a moment too soon, as the warm summer days make way for the cold, wet, and unpredictable fall weather. It seems a shame to have to put the FitFlop Oasis sandals away for a few months; however the latest range of FitFlop boots more than makes up for it.

The thought of having to give up the comfort of FitFlop sandals and return to normal shoes for the winter does not fill me with joy. I have got used to wearing the sandals everyday and I can really feel the benefit, not just in my legs, but in my joints too. Having cartilage trouble with my knees, FitFlop for me are more than simply toning shoes, helping to prevent pain in my joints after exercise. I could lose the toning for a few months, as I'm not going to be showing my legs off much until the spring, and I can even do without the underfoot comfort, although it will be missed. However, my knees get much worse in the cold and damp weather, and I really couldn't face months of pain.

Fortunately though, FitFlop boots hold the answer. The boots feature the same Microwobbleboard at the sandals, which makes walking really comfortable, and they will still tone my lower body just as much as the sandals do. My favourite has to be the FitFlop Mukluk, with the suede uppers and sheepskin lining offering snugness and warmth in the cold, and they look fantastic. I'm not much of a calf boot person, so the FitFlop Inuk is not my ideal winter boot, although I appreciate that many women will prefer this style.

Both of these boots offer the same posture enhancing and toning benefits, and are highly comfortable underfoot, however what I find most attractive is the styling. Last year I made do with my EMU Ugg boots, which are great, but they just don't do anything for painful joints. The Mukluk offers much the same fit as the Ugg boots, with a high quality sheepskin lining and a great outsole for grip, but it will give my joints some much needed relief too.

I was so excited when they arrived in the post, I could not wait to get them on my feet, and they have rarely been off in the week since. They are just as good as the sandals, if not better, and are sure to see me through until I can break out my Oasis sandals for another summer. I reckon that by then I will have buns of steel and the legs of my dreams, however time will tell, as I need to get through the excesses of Christmas first!

Not a day goes by that I do not wear my FitFlop sandals, as I have problems with my ankle that FitFlops has helped more than weeks of physical therapy. They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. I am already starting to stress about what I will wear to the office this fall/winter. I am hoping FitFlops makes a nice looking clog in navy, black and brown, and more choices of dress shoes would be fantastic!
